Secrets – Montego Bay, Jamaica

After seeing the wonderful beaches in Negril, my husband had a chance to go to Jamaica with my sister. I wanted to show her Negril, but also wanted to try something new, so we went to the Secrets Wild Orchard / St James in September 2023.

The hotel resort itself was great and luxurious, but I was disappointed with the beach – comparing it to Negril. It was also the first time I encountered jellyfish. There were so many, it made going in the water scary – a feeling I never had. It’s one of the only hotels in Jamaica that gets jellyfish – something likely due to the currents and where the resort is located.

Nevertheless, we had a great time. It was a first for using my GoPro – opening a world underwater I would like to experience further someday. Below the gallery, you will find a few videos from my GoPro.
