A Love Letter to Photography
I’ve always had a quiet curiosity for cameras, always sparking interest. Back in school, the chance to study photography never came around. I snapped casual shots at social gatherings with a basic digital camera, preserving memories more than making art.
Then in 2019, everything changed.
A former boss nudged me, just enough to awaken something. He suggested I explore photography more seriously, and I took the leap. I picked up a Sony Alpha 6000 mirrorless camera, and what began as a hesitant experiment quickly turned into a creative obsession. I studied light, learned the language of aperture and shutter speed, and started seeing the world in compositions and color theory, embracing the manual function and learning through failure.
By 2021, I upgraded to a full-frame camera body, my trusty Sony A7R III. Since then, my gear bag has grown to include a GoPro, a drone, and an ever-expanding collection of lenses. But more than the gear, it’s the perspective that changed. Photography became the hobby I never knew I needed; a grounding, creative ritual that continues to surprise and inspire me…fueling my passion for travel. They go quite well hand-in-hand.
I welcome you to explore some of my memories and experiences below.
