I got a last minute pit ticket and went with my pocket Sony.

I hadn’t listened to them before at all, but I was very impressed by their set. I learned they’re a Canadian heavy metal band from Victoria. Unfortunately, my point of view from the drummer was weak, but here is an initial set featuring @courtneylaplante, @josh_gilbert and @mikestringer.

@courtneylaplante vocals were very impressive in person, effortlessly shifting between ethereal, haunting melodies and ferocious screams.

@josh_gilbert really knows how to get a crowd riled up, too. Watching him basically moonwalk back and forth across the stage while riffing and supporting Courtney with back-up vocals was equally impressive (especially since I’m learning how to play the guitar – I can’t even walk and play, much less run around like a lightning bolt on stage)
